Gavin & Stacey back for third series
|
It's official! The third series of hit sitcom Gavin & Stacey has been given the green light.
Ruth Jones and James Corden, who write and star in the smash show, announced the good news while recording Ruth’s Sunday Brunch radio programme for BBC Radio Wales yesterday.
The radio show was recorded in Barry Island (where else?), in front of a 1,000+ audience. Naturally, the news was received with huge squeals of excitement from the crowd. After all, it's the most exciting thing to happen in Barry since Gwen's surprise birthday barn dance last year.
The news quashes rumours that a third series would never see the light of day as Ruth and James were too busy working on a US version of the show. James has also gone on record to say he was scared it could become “boring and recycled”.
But he bellowed to the crowd: “Truly, we will absolutely try our best not to let you or the show down.”
But before all that... we've got the one-off special to look forward to on Christmas Eve, in which new mum Nessa (Ruth) falls out with Smithy (James) over her new bloke Dave.
